The Sabre 42 Salon Express is a wonderfully designed, beautiful cruising yacht, perfect for a family or couple. A large cockpit provides a natural gathering place, with plenty of comfortable seating and sweeping views. A removable table stows out of sight, when not in use. Moving forward and up two steps, you enter the salon and helm deck. An L-shaped settee (with storage) and an adjustable table provide a place to dine, enjoy a cocktail or simply socialize. To starboard is a straight settee and pop-up 32' Sony TV with Roku stick. 

Forward of the settees is the helm station, anchored by twin Stidd helm seats. The helm layout is functional and simple, for easy operation. A door to starboard allows for quick egress to the side deck. 

Forward and down a step is the mid-level galley. Bright and open to the windows of the helm deck, the galley is very efficiently laid out - easy to use, without taking up a large footprint.

Down three steps and forward of the galley are the two staterooms and shared head. The owner's stateroom is forward, but unlike many similar layouts, the berth is low and easy to get into and out of. Plenty of lockers and storage options abound, and there is ensuite access to the head. The guest stateroom is to starboard, and features a double berth and storage. Access to the head is directly off the companionway.

Outside, Sabre's hallmarks abound - sturdy handrails and wide side decks provide safe, comfortable passage forward. Anti-skid provides for even more comfort and security. The Sabre 42 Salon Express is a beautiful combination of form, functionality and performance.

Mechanicals and Engine Room are spotless and have been maintained to the highest level.  

• In keeping with proactive maintenance regime, engine room hoses and clamps were replaced winter 2025 - including raw water intake hoses, A/C unit hoses, generator hoses, exhaust water dump hoses, wash down intake hoses.  Also replaced: main engine and generator exhaust hoses as well as raw water and freshwater cooling hoses and clamps.  Repaired several hoses and valving on the head's discharge systems. 
• Cleaned and painted the aftercoolers.  Resealed and pressure tested the coolers. Replaced the wiper washer reservoir.  Removed any corrosion off the engines, turbos etc. primed and repainted the areas. At Sabre Yachts our goal has always been to fulfill the dreams and wishes of our boat owners by listening carefully to their requests and blending their ideas into exciting designs. We consider our owners and potential owners to be valued members of the Sabre Design Team. The Sabre 42 is the result of our observation that our clients want to enjoy the same levels of personal luxury and comfort that they have come to expect in their homes and in their automobiles. To that end we have developed a style of sedan, available with or without fly bridge, that permits boaters to operate from the comfort of the yacht's interior or from the openness of an optional fly bridge. Technology is advancing rapidly and our owners have come to expect that if there is a new technology available, we will employ it in our designs. We have dramatically changed the way we build our yachts and the way in which they are propelled. Traditional values such as fine craftsmanship and great looks remain, as our owners have come to expect, but below the surface things are state-of-the-art.In our fiberglass shop we have changed infusion molding.  It is greener in the sense that it uses considerably less resin and cleaner in that the emissions levels are much lower. It's lighter because we use less resin and that allows the hull to run faster and use less fuel. Infusion differs from traditional hand lay-up in that all materials are loaded dry into the mold in a stack, the stack is then covered with a plastic bag and resin is infused into the stack. This creates a stronger part with higher glass to resin ratios. With Zeus Pod everything has changed and nothing remains the same. The smaller engines using vectored thrust propel the boat at higher speeds using less fuel. And when maneuvering in tight spaces a joy stick makes child's play of docking.
